AGE in the Arts Awards Application Guidelines
Welcome! We invite you to join us in finding creative and sustainable solutions for promoting equality for women throughout the life span in the performing arts.
Age and Gender Equity in the Arts (AGE) will accept applications for the 2016 Pilot Year AGE in the Arts Awards submitted according to the guidelines you’ll find here on our website.
Please carefully review all of the following information.
The 2016 Pilot Year AGE in the Arts Awards application window is March 15-April 30, 2016
APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD MARCH 15, 2016
ADDITIONAL GUIDELINE INFORMATION WILL BE PUBLISHED ONLINE
PRIOR TO THE APPLICATION SUBMISSION PERIOD
Age & Gender Equity in the Arts will grant awards of up to $20,000 to up to three organizations that meet the following 2016 Pilot Year AGE in the Arts Awards criteria, based on the current and upcoming season:
- Not-for-profit, professional theatre company
- Current 501(c)(3) tax exempt status in state of Oregon
- Located in Portland-metro area, Portland, Oregon
- Present no fewer than three shows per season
- Have presented at least three seasons of three or more full productions prior to application deadline
- Fiscally stable
AGE will only consider applications:
- received by the closing date
- submitted as per instructions and on the downloadable AGE in the Arts Awards application form
- that are complete
Please note that as a new 501(c)(3), AGE resources are limited. Therefore, the criteria for the 2016 pilot run of the AGE in the Arts Awards does not reflect our future intention of honoring all artistic entities large and small.
Application process – Currently not accepting applications
2016 Pilot Year AGE in the Arts Awards applications will be available for download via the AGE website beginning March 15 and will be accepted through April 30, 2016.
Finalists will be announced in June 2016 following a review and selection process.
AGE in the Arts Awards recipients will acknowledge Age and Gender Equity in the Arts in all marketing materials for the upcoming season.
One mid-award period report will be required January 15, 2017. A final report will be due May 31, 2017.
